Enerzijds is elk beeld op zich een bewuste stap tegen chaos, een ordening door het inpassen van lijnen en vlakken die tezamen een nieuw krachtveld vormen.

Mijn foto's zijn afbeeldingen van verschillende realiteiten, wetende dat het ultieme niet bestaat en ik daarom telkens andere beelden neem om door te dringen tot een zekere essentie van deze realiteiten. Het lijkt of er achter de lijnen en composities een magnetisch veld schuilgaat dat we niet met het blote oog kunnen zien, maar dat we wel intuïtief aanvoelen. Het doet denken aan sferen die worden opgeroepen in de gnosis en het Lectorium Rosicrucianum: het doorprikken van wanen om te komen tot het besef dat er meerdere illusies zijn die aanleiding geven tot een nieuw besef van je leefwereld, ook al is deze subjectief. Deze leefwereld brengt je tot nieuwe inzichten.

En toch, ondanks dit besef, kan ik enkel tonen wat er te zien is: de structuur van dit alles. Van hetgeen wat eigenlijk geen structuur heeft.

D’une part, chaque image opère comme un défi lancé au chaos, comme une composition qui ajuste et recompose les lignes, jusqu’à ce que celles-ci forment un nouveau champ de forces.

D’autre part, les surfaces que j’utilise sont les représentations de plusieurs réalités. Elles tiennent compte de l’impossibilité d’un réel ultime. Il faut, dès lors, choisir à chaque reprise d’autres images pour parvenir à capter l’essentiel de toutes ces réalités. Il me semble que, derrière les lignes et les compositions, se cache un champ de forces magnétique, un champ que nous ne pouvons pas voir à l’œil nu, mais que nous ressentons intuitivement. Ce processus peut donc être compris comme l’amoncellement des sphères évoqué par la gnose et le Lectorium Rosicrucianum : il faut s’affranchir des chimères et les échanger pour un désabusement. C’est le désabusement qui donne lieu à une nouvelle conscience, une conscience subjective toutefois. Ce processus seul permet d’aboutir à une nouvelle vision.

Malgré cette démarche, je peux pourtant seulement montrer ce qui est de l’ordre du visible : la structure d’un ensemble varié. D’un ensemble qui est véritablement totalement en manque de structure.

In one respect, each image seems a firm answer to chaos, an assembled composition of lines and surfaces that form all together a new field of forces.

In another, the surfaces I use are the representations of multi-layered forms of reality. All these forms take into account the impossibility of an essential Reel. Given these circumstances, one has to choose each time other images, hoping to grasp through this process an essential dimension of reality. I believe that, behind the lines and the compositions of these structures, magnetic forces do have an impact. Even if these forces don’t belong to the area of scientific perception, a kind of awareness and intuition can bring them closer to us. This intuitive process is related to what has commonly been related to the Lectorium Rosicrucianum and the gnosis: art can free us from illusions, so as to gain new insight and understanding, even if this understanding is subjective. Only this process can bring me to a new kind of vision.

However, in spite of this vision, I can only make use of elements that belong to the area of visibility: the structure of an assembled reality. As we know, this reality is actually missing all kind of structure.
